Red earth

We all are children of the deserts
the orange shining sun of hope,
hopeful eyes in a hopeless land
drawn in misery of bitter life.
There in African vast dry sands,
there in the jungle of elephants
waterfalls are just in dreams
But we all are there, with them
so vulnerable, confused, alone-
brown bodies without bones,
We are like fish in the river thrown
Struggling in labyrinth of mistakes,
our aims are so near and far away,
Glittering in the deserts moon light
all we want is little place of peace,
we want just to live in our land,
not to be dying every day, foreigners
of ourselves, red-faced, blood handed.
